kids say the funniest things…
So today at work I asked one of my students, who will be called “joe” for safety’s sake, to come and read a book with me. Joe has a ton of energy, and sometimes just can’t control himself (which I can relate to). So I show him the book and read the title to him which is Food for Zebras. Right away he says..”Ohhh, what do Zebras eat?” So I tell him that he will have to read to find out.
So Joe excitedly dives into the book and starts reading. But, he only gets through the first page before he has to say something again. He looks up at me and says…”Mrs. Maddox, did you hear what we are having for lunch today?” I tell him yes, but he proceeds to inform me that they are having chicken nuggets and macaroni. He then gets this huge smile on his face and says..(very loudly) “I’ve ALWAYS wanted chicken nuggets and macaroni!” “ALWAYS!!!” So I reply, “Wow Joe! Are you excited?” To which he replies, “Yeah! Who wouldn’t be???” To that I laugh and laugh and just can’t stop. It was so funny to hear him get so excited about chicken nuggets and macaroni.
I’m telling you….never a dull moment, never. 
Did I mention that I love my job??

I’ll have to share my story of “Joe” and the after effects of the chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese with you soon. You’ll truly appreciate it.

Hahahah….that is too funny! Yeah, I have never seen someone so excited about chicken nuggets and macaroni!
Yeah, sadly I can’t take credit for the cuteness of the website….I have a very talented husband.
